Taking screenshots and screen casting has been hot topic lately, and it should be. What a wonderful tool to give instruction. I've only been here for a couple of weeks and I have already used it multiple times.
So, how do you screen cast? There are actually several free ways to do it:
Geetha found this article that highlights 12 different free screenshot/screen casting websites. One of them called Jing. You can download it for free by clicking here. And if you click on Support on their page, you will find a bunch of video tutorials that will show you how it works.
Once you record the video, you should upload it to a video uploading site like YouTube.com or Vimeo.com. This way you don't need to take up space on wherever you are posting it. Click here to see a list of free video upload sites. Once you have uploaded the video, copy and paste the Embed HTML code wherever you want the movie.
Here is a video of how to embed a YouTube movie onto Blogger.
Embedding video is similar with other video sites. If you can't figure it out, give me a call.
If you have a Mac, screen casting is very easy, open up Quicktime, Go to File > New Screen Recording.
