The 7th and 8th graders have already finished the BYOT Bootcamp and the 6th grade students are starting today. I'd say since this is our first attempt at a section wide 2 day technology orientation, the BYOT Bootcamp was a great success. Students and teachers have had rave reviews and I think everyone might have learned a couple of new things.

I plan to take some pictures today of the activities and post them soon!
The Bootcamp starts out with the Responsible Use Jeopardy. Students need to review AISC's Responsible Use Policy to answer the game show questions. After Jeopardy, we play the locker races, where the kids race to open their lockers. This shows them that they actually do have time to lock up their devices safely in their lockers.
The next activity is the Go Animate Digital citizenship movies. Groups get a digital citizenship scenario and are required to make a Go Animate movie. Here are some great examples.
