High School Technology Weekly Communication

This blog will be the primary communication tool which will reach you once a week.  This is a platform to share and showcase the Technology Wonders happening in our classrooms.  Please share your work and ideas through this platform.

Using the Moodle discussion forum (Q and A forum) the students can submit their answer to the question posted. The teacher can provide instantaneous feedback and the student can clarify further doubts by continuing the thread. Since the students can view only their own thread, this feature offers each one of them an opportunity to think independently. The time of the posts are also recorded. Teacher Dashboards:

Almost all of you have received the trainings on Teacher Dashboard.  If I have missed to reach anyone of you, kindly fix an appointment with me any time other than Period 1 and Period 2.  It saves a lot of teacher's energy and time looking for your students' Google Documents.  It definitely reduces the number of emails informing you about the shared docs.  Kindly make use of it.  Let me know if you have any concerns regarding the use of the same.

Mini Tech Training - Friday - 13th September 2013 for Period 3 and Period 4 Groups

This week's Mini Tech Training will be a "sharing" session on BYOT strategies.  We will discuss the classroom management tips and tricks for a BYOT teacher.  Please bring in your ideas to share with the group.  I will send you an invite through Google Calendar.

Student as Technology Leaders:

Six students from ILearnIT class (9 through 12th graders) made an impressive presentation to the High School and Middle School teachers on 5th September 2013 during the Section Meeting.  They need your support to complete the course because without a client, they will not be able to do the coursework.  Kindly use the opportunity to develop an animation movie for a difficult concept in your subject, a documentary or promotional video for your club, a spreadsheet to maintain your accounts, a personal or professional website, a webquest to be set up as a self learning activity for any topics.  You ask for it and we will get it done!
