My sincere appreciation to Calley, Lakshmi Vijayaraghavan, Rema Vishwanath for coming and supporting the High School students/parents who participated in the Hour Of Code on 9th December. If you still want to work with your kids, here is the link: bit.ly/aischourofcode for some links. The list in the linked document is not exhaustive.
- This week I will be coming around to meet most of you quickly to tech check.
Cool Resource and Tool/s:
Google slides can be numbered now: Insert-->Slide Numbers--> On. http://googleappsupdates.blogspot.in/2014/12/slide-numbers-in-google-slides.html
- Video is undoubtedly at the core of a modern mobile learning experience. Teachers need to be able to capture, upload, download, edit, slow down, speed up, annotate, curate, share, and otherwise “own” video content so that is fully merges with everything else. With that in mind, 25 of the best resources for teaching with YouTube are listed by TeachThought. Some are web-based, some are apps, and others are guides or tips. Here is the link: http://www.teachthought.com/technology/25-best-resources-teaching-youtube/
- Using Preso.tv could be a good way to keep your students on the same slide that you're projecting. Likewise, Preso.tv provides a good way for students to share with classmates. A chat feature is built into Preso.tv. Students could use the chat feature to ask clarifying questions about each slide that they see.
