Rerun from last week:

  1. While you are thinking about your Professional Goals, do not forget to include the Technology Integration in your classrooms.  I can help you plan at least one unit plan with you and I can completely co-teach with you during that lesson.  Kindly give me an opportunity to support you.

Technology Hotspots@ HS-AISC

IB teachers always wonder about how to use Technology with their students.  I have also seen students struggling with keeping their two year work at one place, especially the ones which are not organized.  How do we teach them organizing skills using Technology.  Thank you Walter for sharing the following with us.

IB Psychology E-Portfolio
Technology Integration Objective:
Students will create an online site for storing notes, vocabulary, class handouts, quizzes, test, and for reflection on their understanding of the materials covered in the IB Psychology curriculum.

Why this goal?
  • Desire to help students organize their digital world or at least with IB Psychology.
  • Create a place where students can take responsibility for storing class artifacts.
  • I have had students create websites as a semester exam project the past two years and wanted my tech use to the next level.
  • I wanted to make sure the students had the tech skills they needed to go on to university. This stems from reading articles about universities requiring students to create e-portfolios.
  • Desire to have students reflect on their work

Cool Tool/s:
Padlet is also a new technological tool that works like a cork board by facilitating students to post notes in a common place. It is used to:padlet.png
  1. share your ideas and notes with others in the form of links, images, videos and different documents.
  2. .to make the students compete with each other by creating a wall and placing their creative ideas on it.
  3. to make class participation happens
  4. to help other students by sharing your knowledge on critical areas of the topic.
  5. to track class updates. By using it in the classroom, you can track current and upcoming class assignment’s topics and their due dates.   More on itsClassroom Applications
