Learning Beyond Classroom
Eleven of our High School students have signed up to attend the National Level Hands-On Workshop titled “Android Meets Ardu Bots” conducted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jeppiar Engineering College, Chennai on September 11th and 12th, 2014. The students will be exposed to the recent trends and the various tools available to make robots. One of the most supported embedded platform which is highly used in robotics industry is Arduino. Like Android, Arduino is an open-source platform which makes Arduino-Android combination a powerful one. This workshop intends to expose students to how to make an arduino bot communicate with an android mobile and thereby control through an android APP.
Cool Tool:
Lucidchart for Google Apps makes it easy to invite an entire domain to use Lucidchart. Once installed, Lucidchart appears in the 'More' menu of our School or from the Google Drive-->New-->LucidChart when clicked, it will automatically provision accounts for new users and place them on the team. Use Lucidchart to augment the learning process by creating flowcharts, mind maps and other diagrams. Enable students to easily collaborate in real-time on group projects. I have subscribed for 100 user account. Let me know if you need assistance with this concept mapping tool.
